    im in the garage now trying to put a lift on how the hell do you remove the strut on a 2009 dc 4x4? im at a standstill

    Hard part is to split the ball join on the upper control arm.

    After you pull off the wire clip and remove the 19 mm castle nut, you may meed to put a Jack under the spindle and lift it to get the ball joint out of it's bind. Then hit it with a hammer.

    BE CAREFUL NOT TO DAMAGE THE THREADS!!!!!

    screw the nut flush onto the bolt to hit it so you dont hurt the precious threads

    I had to use a pickle fork and a big hammer to break the spindle loose from the UCA. But first you have to remove the sway bar bolt.

    it is just a matter of undoing all the bolts upper and lower and just yank the bottom of the shock out if its to stuck have someone push down on your brake rotor thus pushing the lower control arm down giving you some room to pull it out

    There is 3 bolts on top of the shock mount, you have to remove those and the one bolt at the bottom.

    Right on the Nickel,

    But if your by yourself, grab a nice long breaker bar 25" or so, and pry down on the LCA and that should give you enough clearance to wiggle the bottom of the strut out. And make your that your jack stand are solid, ( unless on a hoist) ... I learnt that lesson the hard way.

    the sway bar is in the way but the drivers side wont rotate up to move it out of the way?

    Oh yeah lol, unbolt the sway bar, either twist it up, or forward. What lift are you installing?

    ok remove your skid plate and undo the sway bar so that it flips backwards out of the way if that doesnt work take it off until your finished

    You're gunna have to fight with er' for a minute or two. If you put a spacer in (assuming you are) it makes it quite a bit harder. Again use you leverage, or your buddy to wiggle the LCA until she slides into spot.

    back to bone stock.

    stick a rod in there and twist it until it lines up. i have seen the use of 1/4" ratchet extension. i would use a punch.
