Get it Line-X'd!!! Powder coating will chip.

I just had my N-Fab Light Bar Line-X'd for only $75...It was a little too glossy so I went over it with satin black.

I used rubberized undercoating and then some Krylon Fusion black spray paint. Same way I did my skid plate. I was thinking about getting it powder coated but my skid plate was holding up good and I had a lot of left over cans from the skid plate so I said why not? So far so good as far as I can tell.:D It also matches my badges, skid plate, Satoshi grill screen and my nerf bars so I am happy.;)

I considered gettign my stuff line X'd. That was until the only line-x shop within 80 miles quoted me 170 dollars for both steps!

Going with the rubberized undercoating and black paint.

This is probably a nub question...but what is the point of these bars? I see them everywhere and have often wondered that. Is it just protection in case you pull too far forward and bump a wall / rock?

Well Avid sells them as light bars to where you can mount off-road lights but they also offer a little bit of extra support it you hit something. I personally like the look of them plain so I didnt mount any lights on them.
