Yea, even if it's an old thread, am I the only one that this this is one of the dumbest things a person can do?

I mean, your brake lights are meant for people behind you to see that you are braking!

Now lets darken/tint the case so it brings the light down/dimmer and makes it's harder for people to see... Yea, that makes a lot of sense...

Same goes for those morons with the Dodge Ram covers over their brake lights.

    Darwin awards x100.

If you only put 2-3 coats on it doesnt affect the taillight brightness whatsoever. I get pulled over all the time and not once did a cop ever say anything about my taillights. and guess what else, i never got rear ended either. In my book that means it does no harm. Now if you have em as dark as the ones pictured in this thread thats another story. I am sure the light shines enough to keep him from getting hit, but i bet cops are on him like white on rice.

3" Revtech leveling kit, 17x9 XD Revolvers on 275/70/R17 BFG K02s, smoked mirror signals, Spyder tail lights with aftermarket tint, Bulletproof Fabricating grill, debadged everything, trifecta tonneau cover, Flowmaster 40 series cat back exhaust with 4'' MBRP exhaust tip, Black headlight mod and tint, L.E.D. reverse, license, and all interior lights, AJT shifter, more to come.
Agreed. And with the LED tails on the tacomas. . Then adding LED reverse and signal light bulbs they are still just as bright or brighter than a lot of the vehicles out there. I've been pulled over multiple times for my wheels sticking out but never have my tail lights been mentioned. Oh and I played around 55$ for LED reverse and signal bulbs so totally worth it.
Stock is lame. That's all there is to it.

Would look even better if you plasti-dipped your badges. I have a super white taco as well and the black badges look soo much better.

I want to smoke out my headlights/tail lights so bad. I might pull the trigger after the holidays.
