That argument is totally unreasonable? Clearly using tape to fix a bed mat would not be acceptable. But using 'conventional' methods to fix the damage on that guys truck IS acceptable. I never posted in the other threads but man, the OP was being unreasonable - and subsequently got the bad service that he deserves. Since when did anyone ever replace body panels instead of fixing them?

I think the issue here is most people judge their experience ordering online based on buying and receiving the part when it was promised. That is all fine and dandy until the part you receive is either the wrong part or damaged. I recently bought a tow package for my wife's Honda Pilot from a BBB rated dealership online because I saved 900 on the parts. When the hitch arrived it was obvious it had been bent and someone tried to install it with no avail. So I called them and they next day aired me a hitch which cost them $100 dollars to ship. This is how a quality company does business.

After talking to Chris at ToD I do honestly think he would make it right. There are some good people working for that dealership. The problem lies in the fact that they lie and steal from people and I won't do business with anyone after I find out that they outright do these acts and don't care. Yes their online store is good and is run by a stand up guy but the money for that dealership goes to someone who lies and cheats. My dad worked in the parts business for 30+ years and had a shop that did a huge amount of business both retail and wholesale. His shop was the reason that dealership was in business. I would venture to say that ToD would be hurting if that online store weren't bringing in the money it is now.

So by your thinking, since Best Buy has people who are unhappy with them I should not shop there, guess i need to find a new electronics store. There's people who have had bad experiences at Kroger, guess I need to find a new grocery store. But wait, people have had bad experiences with tom thumb, walmart, albertson's, safeway, HEB, conn's, sam's, costco, the shack etc. so I cant shop at any of them. Guess I need to start growing my own crops, raising my own livestock and building my own electronics.

    Right.

Think some people are missing the point. This is a *Toyota* forum ... and the OP clearly pointed out that this is a crappy *Toyota* dealership... from his personal experience. Then, someone checks the BBB and finds an *F* rating ... pretty conclusive and nothing to do with the OP. *Toyota* owners are getting boned time and time again by the dick heads down at this shit shack in Dallas.... and the response is, well, they shipped me my cheesey westin bul bar and it was packed perfectly. valuable input.

"Doesn't affect me, so don't care." That's *WHY* these fucks are still in business ... along with all the rest of the mediocre businesses that you don't realize are mediocre until you get the shit-shack-knuckledown-ass-boning that the OP got.

Do business with them - who gives a shit? As for me, there's plenty of other places to get parts - and I don't need to show my individuality (or your stupidity) by buying from a sub standard dealership.

    have a nice day! :D

Now you have aggravated me. This was a civil argument between a few people giving their ideas and opinions. Now you decide to come in and take a jab at people for choosing to continue to purchase from ToD. I'm not really sure where you get off insulting people for having different views than you. Surely an uneducated person with their head up their ass, such as yourself, could understand that Internet Sales would not be the same employees in the garage fixing cars.

    Well said.

I vote this the worst and most stupid thread in TW history. "I ordered parts and recieved them" -- whoohoo. Nobody said trdparts4u was shitty, we just said that we didn't want to put money in TOD's pocket, which is exactly what you do when you buy from trdparts4u. If the dealership screws one person....they'll screw another, and another and another..it is never an isolated event.
