The fact that you are even asking the question leads me to believe you should just go out and buy whatever the media tells you to buy.

    .....

The pedal has stuck 2 times due to the mat, and 1 time without in my '07 Tacoma. I just decided not to slam on the gas anymore, and wallah, no more stick....

Almost took out a little red car in a parking lot, and almost made the parking lot bigger and the businesses smaller, luckily, I was able to put it into N and stop before hitting anything, oh, and the car stopped before I was able to hit it, too. Yay!

so yes, it does happen to the Taco. Makes life more fun this way, never know when you have to go on high alert. :)

I would push the clutch in or put in N and then Pull Over.... THEN turn off the engine. You'll lose steering if you shut off the engine.... just a thought

You lose power steering if you shut your engine off, you don't lose steering

I am planning on upgrading to a 2nd gen double cab 4x4 off road. But I am going to wait until the incentives are a little better. What do you have to lose? Not getting a two year free maintenance plan? You have a lot more to gain by waiting to see what else they offer and not much to lose.

They are now saying the man who couldn't stop his prius may have done it intentionally to get money. He has a sketchy past. Also a reporter took a prius and mashed the accelerator pedal, then tried the neutral switch....it went into neutral...then tried the emergency brakes...it stopped...then tried regular brakes...they worked....then hit the kill switch it worked..looks like this guy is a sham.

I thought about this. He has a runaway car and calls 911? Talks to them while trying to control a runaway car? Seemed fishy. If I had a runaway car I think I would be working on getting it into Neutral and stopping, not calling 911. What can 911 do besides tell him to put it in neutral.

Actually the trucks do it too. My dad has had a couple of Tundras that have done it. His 2000 did it about once a week. lol! But even if it does who gives a shit..its not a big deal. If it does stick and kills the driver...well one less retard on this earth to deal with :D. So just buy the damn truck!
