In Texas it's 4'9"...which it what my girlfriend's height is. At 4'9" you can apply for a handicapped placard too! I keep trying to get her to do it.

My fiance is 5' even and drives my truck just fine, but has a 2009 FJ that has pedal extensions.

Yeah, "being drove by a girl" must suck. There's these things called road trips, where you go out of state, which you've probably never done. But hey, if you want to drive 10 hours straight "cuz ur the man in the car no matter what", great.

 A great way to undermine your point is to barely be able to articulate it.

If anyone with a couple neurons to rub together is curious, I ended up taking a chunk of 2x4 for the pedal, screwing some aluminum sheet to it wider than the chunk, putting holes in the aluminum, and bolting it to another sheet of aluminum cut to fit behind the pedal.

It's basically a solid 2" pedal cap that I can bolt on without tools, and it isn't going anywhere. Works great.

I've been wondering the same thing as my wife is a few inches over 5 feet. Word to the wise though, when you have questions like these don't post them here because, with the exception of the first response regarding pedal extensions, most of them have been posted by ass-hats.

Lol, the jokes that aren't outright ignorant misogyny don't bother me, I give her trouble about her height all the time. But yep, if you have a manual, you can build a secure 2" extension much cheaper than they are online.

If she were to drive the truck all the time, I'd probably buy one. As it is, she only drives a few times a year, so NBD.

My girlfriends just under 5"4 and has no problem driving my truck, she does have to jump a little to get in though...

It's worse when its the other way around. I'm 6"3, 240lbs, sometimes I have to drive her Acura Integra. I'm way to tall for her car so I have to contort my body to get into the damn car, then as soon as I'm in I have to keep my head tilted to keep it from hitting the roof. It's easier for me to open the sun roof and stick my head out through there to see traffic lights than it is to look through the windsheild.

I don't let the wife drive with me in the car regardless how far :p

She makes me so damn nervous. Try not to think how it is when I'm not there!

I'm 5'2" and can barely engage my clutch, so good luck, I guess?. Make sure the steering wheel is fully collapsed. It sounds like some kind of after-market mod will have to be made to the pedals. For an airbag to function properly (read: non-lethal), the driver must also be at least 10" away from the steering wheel and have the wheel aimed at the chest, not the face/head, so if she's sitting closer than that, then for her safety she shouldn't be driving.
