    hey guys,
i bought cheap lights for my bull bar and roll bar.... if they are stainless they shouldn't rust.... not sure if they are chrome, i don't know.... but they are all rusting a little, but one is BAD.... covered in rust... looks like a brown light instead of a chrome one....

anyone know the best way to remove it???

    THANKS!

i have a bull bar with Hq lights and they are rusting top of the lights right where they almost touch the bull bar, i havent fixed it yet but my suggestion is to just buy a new set of lights. also what kind of light rack do you have that goes in the back? i want one of those

you may need to sand down the housings a bit....spray with chrome paint, then do a few coats of clear coat. it should be ok then. just a thought.

On stainless steel, SOS pads work OK. You may want to try it on a small, inconspicuous spot to be sure it won't do more damage than good but I've used them before (especially on a tailpipe extender).

Broken and scratched tailgate, cracked rear tail light lens, coffee stain in driver seat.
I had the same problem on another truck, unfortunately the cheap coating of "chrome" won't stand up to really any environment. The only option would be finding some really good lights and bar, or have the existing "dipped" i.e re-chromed, but the cost would be more than what you spent on them.
