Roof Rack Light Wiring Help

    I have the roof rack, just need to know the most common/best place to run the wires to the cab from outside on the roof.

    also.,... Will I need to pull apart my headliner?

    What kind of rack and where are the lights located? Front vs. rear will make a difference.

    Pulling the headliner would certain make running wires a whole lot easier. You might want to consider it just for hiding wires.

    Got any pictures of what you're installing?

    Sorry guys, I just picked up a stock Double Cab Toyota Tacoma roof rack. I would like small lights in front and back. I would like to conceal the wires as much as possible.

    I was going to suggest routing the wires through the bolt holes that are there for the stock roof rack but that obviously won't work. :p

    Are you opposed to drilling through the sheet metal? If so, maybe run the wires to the rear of the rack and run them though the rear window insulation?

    Im not scared to drill a hole. Just need to know whats the best method of keeping the water out. I've heard of using a "Myers Hub", but wasn't sure if that was really ness.

    I didn't want to drill a hole in my roof so i ran the wires down the windshield seal on both sides for the front. I haven't put the rear ones on yet cause I'm getting a Bestop soft top and am gonna mount some rear facing ones on the rear support bar. Just check out my gallery, you can barely notice the wires.
