Man there are so many threads with everyone just posting any wand everything it is impossible to find answers LOL

I currently have 3" lift wiht ICON coilovers....

Anyway here is my question. I want more height, called a guy at a local shop who is very well reputable and he says they can put a 6'' stage one Pro Comp lift on for me and use my current ICON Coilovers with a spacer.

Does anyone have this and do you recommend it? Should I just say F it and go with the Stage 2.

I am planning on keeping my 285's 33" tires. I think 35's would be too much.

Just want more height and to be able to do some mudding still.

    Comments?

Icon Coil-overs, TC UCA, with Bilstein 5150 and Icon 3 leaf pack. 17" Moto Metal 951 4.5" Backspacing wrapped in 285/70/17 BFG AT's. Demello front bumper and Avid offroad sliders.
6" with 33" tires looks retarded IMO.

But yes you can do the 6" stage 1 with the ICONS and you will be just fine. You will just have to crank the ICONS to 0" of lift and you will be golden. It will be real smooth.

I wouldn't do the stage 2 since you already have ICONS which are far better then procomp coilovers.

Thanks for the info that sound like a way to save some $$$ for sure. I just hope that the strut spacer doesnt mess with the ride. I know when I installed just a 3" spacer on my stock struts it rode like a brick to me.

For what that would cost, just buy camburg spindles. 4" lift + whatever you set your icons to

The Stage 1 with Icons turned down (as mentioned) will work. Me personally, I am not a big fan of a 6" spacer held on by 3 bolts, with the coilover pushed down that low. Icon holds its value enough that I would strongly consider selling them here on the forums for some new extended length Icons + RCD/Fabtech/Etc.

Just my 2 cents. Either should function properly.

Hmmmmm. How would the TC UCA's work with the 6" Pro Comp. Would I have to go back to factore UCA's?????

Just speculation...but being the TC arms are meant to replace the factory arms without modification, and the ProComp knuckle is meant to work with the factory UCA...I see no problem.

Beg to differ, 6 inch lift and 33's looks great IMO, however everyone is entitled to there own opinion. Lots of guys run 33's and 6 inch kits. Anywho just a thought.
