Its not the negative rep that bugs me its the fact that they felt the need to do that without knowing what was really going on. and honestly I don't argue on here because I think its silly. But I just couldn't help it this time.

My 07 FJ had a sticker in the gas door requireing premium, mentioned in the owners manual as well. My 08 Tacoma V6 has no sticker and the manual state 87????????????????? I have often wondered if I should be running Premium because my real world experience with the FJ told me I NEEDED premium or it did not run right.

I would certainly go with your personal feelings on that one.

" I feel that the FJ is great at doing everything "

I have both... 08 FJ and an 08 Tacoma... both go to the same gas station and both get the same fuel... both run the same...

I really like the FJ... if I had to choose one or the other....

Probably the FJ since it is 4x4...

    lol

they are the smallest backseats ever designed - IF you push the front seat all the way forward, it's still very tight. then it really sucks if you're sitting up front. i was considering an FJ until i TRIED to sit in the back. with the front seat in my normal position, i could not get in the back. it's seriously the worse design i've ever seen times 10. i was literally shocked. too bad - i used to have an fj-62 and was thinking it would be cool to get another fj... so i'll be getting another double cab tacoma now.

sorry, but i disagree. even my wife at 5' even or so said no way she was sitting in those things.

again sure, if you cram the front seat all the way forward and put the back upright, then it's barely reasonable. there's far more room in the back seat of the tacoma, and more storage space, so no benefit at all to the fj.

I'm fine with the Tacoma's ability, and like the interior much more than the FJ (I also didn't like the way the interior/dash/etc. was laid out (my wife hated it, had ridden in her friends). I was bummed about that too, but that certainly wasn't a dealbreaker - the back seat, if it was even remotely reasonable would've been okay. With the front seat in a normal position, there wasn't even 6" of clearance between the front edge of the back seat and the back of the front seat. Toyota really blew it bad - all they had to do was add rails on the back seat and allow it so slide back and forth. Maybe they changed the 2010 model and fixed that - it was an 09 I was looking at. I was really hoping I'd like it, but it didn't take long to figure out it wasn't for me.

finally made it to a dealer for service for my car...

i measured the clearance between the front edge of the back seat to the back of the front seat, in other words, how much clearance someone in the back seat would have for their legs if the front seat was in the furthest back position (which is where i use it)...

5.5" - that's it. that's about the size of my calf - so it would barely fit. horrible design.
