I have seen others here having taken their trucks to the dealer and had the TSB dealing with springs done. How do I know if my truck needs this TSB? Are there signs that the springs are not working properly?

Look at a leaf pack. If there are only 3 leafs including the overload, then you dont have it done.

If you have to ask if you need it, you probably don't.

Its like a quadruple bypass, you'll know when you need it.:)

if you load your truck with 300-400lbs and your bed slams against your bumpstops..sounding like a mini bomb going off, you need the TSB...

    +1

If you want a Cadillac ride you are fine ........

if you want a TRUCK LIKE ride , bounce and jerked all around when unloaded for those times when you do carry a load then you want the TSB

Many extol the virtues of increased rear end height -- like that means something ?

I am glad that I have been reading tsb posts here and now I need to get this done. my truck has only 800 miles on it. Do you think I should get it done now? How should I approach this to the dealer?

I attached some pictures. Please take a look and verify that I do need this tsb. pictures clearly show 3 leafs.

Does anyone have a link to the TSB which shows model 2010? I looked at T-SB-0305-08 and it only goes up to 2008 model.

Here you go, this thread has the updated TSB for 2009's and 10's. I'm getting mine done next week. Depending on the dealer you may have to "prove" that you need the TSB, which will include loading your truck down to show excessive sagging and bottoming out to the dealer. I was lucky my dealer just ordered the parts after I called and expressed my concern and gave him the TSB. Others suggested calling Toyota directly and apparently then you can CHOOSE a dealer to have the work done at without having to weigh your truck down. Either way, getting this done, imho, is well worth the time and slight hassle.

    Best of luck.

It doesn't matter whether it has three or four leafs. What matters is whether the loads you are carrying are causing your rear suspension to bottom out.

    Very good!

I always chuckle when I see "before and after" pictures posted in the forum.

To the OP, you don't have to decide right away to get it done. Anytime before the 3 year or 36K mile warranty expires is fine.
