Can ya get a +1" lift from just 4 new shocks?

Greetings everyone,

My new truck looks and rides fine but could use a small lift. Not thinkging bout' going much more than stock so was hoping a set of front and back shocks on my 2010 Tacoma 4x4 might lift it some. Anyone done something like this (pics' would be nice) or know if it would do the trick?

For the front you could get the bilstein 5100's which are adjustable from .75" to 2.5". You can get more info on them at www.downsouthmotorsports.com

 

You can in front with a different coilspring or adjustable coilover but out back just a shock will get you nada. Unless its some kind of air shock like the old Gabriel Highjackers. I dont recommend using a spacer block but that's one way to go in the rear or better yet an add a leaf.

 

I would recomend the 5100's all around and the tsb for the rear springs to get you an 1"+ lift for the rear. Just shocks alone won't do anything unless they're air shocks (which I wouldn't recomend for off roading).

 

Shocks have no ability to lift. Springs determine the height, shocks control the ride.
