And that's about the end of that.

Wish they did, though. That would be a beast offroad.

By short bed i'm assuming he means the 6ft? not that tacomas have anything longer, but i've always referred to a 6ft as a short bed and 8 as long. i dunno.... but i guess the question's been answered either way
I had a '99 s10 zr2 that was 6ft bed, single cab and 5spd w/the 4.3 V6. May still be my favorite vehicle ever, even over my tacoma.... wish they offered something similar.

Well, SB on a Tacoma usually means the 5ft so I would assume means that.

I've had the craving for a regular cab lately. Maybe as a second "fun" truck...

thatz what i meant a 6' bed. sorry bout dat. the reason i ask is bcuz a toy dealer in colorado springs had a 08' 4x4 reg cab 6' bed with a sticker on it claiming it had a V6 in it. i didn't believe it or the salesman!, so i just had to ask my experts @taco bell world! tnx

It's cool man I was on the same page as you. I've been talking about long and short beds long before tacomaworld, probably like you. To most of the population a 6 ft bed is short, an 8 ft bed is long. The 5 ft beds belong on ridgeline's or sporttracs! (just kidding for those of you with a DC)

    plasti dipped wheel caps,

the first edition of the first generation tacomas i think could be had in a regular cab with the 3.4 v6. ('95-'97 i think)

i wish toyota would do a regular cab short bed 4.0v6 with manual option! :)

Maybe if you were an A-list movie star, perhaps a foreign prince.

Otherwise you just can't get custom orders off the line. You could probably get a tuner shop to build one for you, like the shop that does the D2D conversion, but it isn't going to be coming from Toyota.

The '92 V6 regular cab 4x4 manual trans Toyota truck my brother had is what set my sights on a Tacoma in the first place. Even with the 150 hp 3.0 V6, that was a really nice truck, very peppy.
