front= and then the rear= i am still deciding.. so if i can split the cost with my parents for good grades i would rather have mid travel

How did you determine the location of the rear shackle mount? Do you have any pictures of the suspension at full droop?

That rear shackle looks WAY too vertical at ride height. The shackle in that picture is about how it should be at full droop. The issue is that the shackle could potentially flip forward when there's no load on the suspension (think jumping or just a big bump) and would lock up your rear suspension.

Move that mount more forward to give the shackles more of an angle at ride height. It'll keep things from breaking and will also lower your rear a bit.

I didn't see your question answered so I'll address it. The 5-lug Tacomas have a completely different suspension system than the 6-lugs, front and rear. Very few parts are interchangeable.

Specific to the rear, the 5-lug trucks come from the factory with the springs mounted under the axle, which is the main reason this can be a bolt-on kit. 6-lug Tacomas have the leaf packs mounted above the axle and need to have new spring perches welded (among many other things) to get the leaf packs under the axle.

Now, why springs under the axle vs. over? It's a matter of clearance. The leaf pack is thick and takes up a lot of space. By moving it under the axle (using longer springs with more arch) it frees up a bunch of space and allows the suspension to compress more without having to lift the truck to the sky.

the shock hoop is the only thing the 6b lugs can use .... its pretty easy just mount it and drill holes if there is no holes ....but shackles and stuff are diffrent
