I was approved for my rear leaf tsb today and is scheduled for 4/6 along with my 5100's(to be set at 1.75).As I was going home I passed Discount tire and their bays were empty so I stopped in for my wheels and tires.Chose my faves the BFG AT's along with new wheels. They mounted one to test and it did rub.I told them about my shocks/leafs that will be installed in 2 weeks and they said after then we will mount the new tires because they will clear with the slight lift.Do you think i'll have any rubbing issues after the tsb/5100's are installed?

I've got 265/75/16 Bridgestone Dueler Revos and they rub a bit when I'm turning while backing down the driveway. Other than that there haven't been any other instances.

Aftermaket wheels w/the wrong offset will rub where stocker won't. The farther out you push the centerline of the tire the bigger the arc it makes as you turn. This moves the tire closer to the fenders, mudflaps, bodymount and other in the way crap as you turn.

My 265/74-16 Hankooks which run a bit taller than BFG's clear just fine, barely, but just fine on stock wheels. 1/4" spacers would move them far enuf out to rub......

The 2" lift you have in the works will be plenty....

I had 265/75-16 BFG-ATs at stock height on stock wheels = no rub

Same setup + 1.5" wheel spacers = no rub

Your new wheels must have alot of offset.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
biggest stock size on 16 is 265/70/16.

OP, i ran 255/75/17 on stock rims...that's 32x10 and no rub even at full lock. post up the backspacing of the rims if you know what it is.

stock wheel or rim size (16") will fit any 265/75/16 and work with the stock suspension. As mentioned, 265/70/16 is the biggest stock size tire installed on the stock 16" rims. The 5100's set at 1.75 will be close to leveling out the truck, but is not needed to clear the tire size...

I hve the fj rims with the 265/75/16 duratracs and I also rub on very sharp turns. But my offset is different then stock. So I guess that's why I'm rubbing.

They are only approx. 1" smaller in diameter, 31's(245) vs 32's(265)
