Removable doors

Would you buy removable doors for your tacoma?

 

That is what Jeeps are for.

 

I said yes...But after reading the post about not having a sound system and that's what jeeps are for....I change my mind...No...

 

i would definately do it but only if the truck was my mudd truck and nothing else

 

We have a member on here that makes tube doors for wheeling.

 

if i had a 2nd set of doors. i would chop mine up for better vision. tube doors would be cool too.(depends on the weather) all my beater rigs had quick disco doors or tube

 

Oh man tubed doors would be sick for out here in the desert! Where can I buy em??

 

i build em. not the prettiest but.. remember REAL 4x4's are BUILT NOT BOUGHT!

 

the optoin to remove them would be sweet!

i dont have any pics. they were on my old trail rigs.(sold) my blazer has full doors as does my jeep. and the dunebuggy..well ya. all cage. i might make some 4 the taco later. there is a link up top for 1st gen tube doors. dunno about the 2nd's though

 

I think it'll be pretty neat to have removable doors. I'd get them if I had the money

wonder how hard it is to modify the 1st gen taco tube doors for a 2nd gen...?

 

thus far to the best of my knowledge nwitaco (on here and ttora) is the only person to complete a set of tube doors for the 2nd gen trucks. he ran them for awhile then sold them to a guy with a indigo ink access cab truck.

their more of a pain on the 2nd gens because of the way the hinges are built. the first gen and older trucks were simpler and you can get a quick disconnect for the hinges. the 2nd gen is complicated enough that there are no quick disconnects avaliable which means unbolting the doors and bolting on the tube doors.

 

How long would a transfer actually take and is it that hard to change or just hard to manufacture?
