Yes, you can but I think you need to fill the channels with the trim that most of us have. My trim got knocked off and disappeared in a car wash or something. It was just held by some chinsey clips or something. I took the truck to Toyota. They said it happens all the time and replaced it for free. I assume the roof rack is held on a little better than that. I hope so anyway.

Yes it's possible. You would need to get a few replacement parts to finish the roof off though.

You would need some silicone to seal up the factory threaded mounting holes, 2 plastic clips for behind the windshield, and the ditch mouldings to go where the racks come off.

I installed my factory rack and am now preparing to remove it before I trade my truck in. When installing, you remove the rubber channels that come stock. Under those are pre tapped holes for the rack to mount. Before you remove your rack you will need to find the factory channels to reinstall. There is also a plastic clip that gets broken off when installing the rack. These clips need to be purchased at a dealer and re-affixed with epoxy. At the rear window part of the channels you will need a strip of automotive emblem tape (two-sided).

It is easy to remove it, but after you remove it, you have to purchase a rubber trim from dealer to put it back into that slot.
Take it off only need no more than 30 minutes.
