What`s a good cold air intake?

Kinda have my mind set on the K&N. But is there any other suggestions out there??

 

k&n = power lost

afe/trd/urd = power gained

 

i havent had any problems with K&N.

 

if your going to go with k&n go with the cheaper one with the pastic tube, it will hold less heat.

also the k&n filter is not a cold air intake its just an intake. the stock air intake is an acutal cold air intake and will probably give you more hp.

didnt chris4x4 dyno test most intakes and he said that the k&n caused a decrease in hp?

 

I dunno if fujita makes them for taco but they are nice!!!

 

dont buy any CAI for your tacoma. little to no gains on these trucks. All you really gain is a throaty sound. your stock intake is a CAI. Just upgrade the filter.

 

the only time I see gains is at WOT (wide open throttle)

probably a loss in MPG. you will lose low end torque but gain it back in the top end. So if your looking to air it out all the time they are not worth it.

I would recomend getting an AFE pro dry S drop in filter and removing your secondary filter

x2, the stock setup is the best. I had an AFE for 1/2 year and pulled it because of the low end torque loss and mpg drop.

I love the way mine sounds but I would go back to stock if I had my factory stuff still
