I've had a few of them in the two taco's I've owned. Pulling this 28' Cabin Cruiser out of the water was up there.

Pulling a flatbed with a 6 person offroad golf cart & a quad to pismo + beer was pretty rough.

But the toughest job it's done for me yet, which I'm most proud of is taking this hit and barely leaving a bruise on me.

Once I had a big fat broad in the bed while I was pulling a whale out of the ocean. Clutch hasn't been the same since...

Little ice on an otherwise dry road + steep snow covered hill with trees at bottom. Was so close to recovering the slide and then hit more dry stuff that caught and threw me over the edge. Totalled obviously but upgraded to an 07 dbl cab short bed and started over with the mods knowing what I liked and didn't like. Came out pretty even actually, and all I had was a seatbelt bruise, so I'm pretty lucky.

I work my truck all the time....I pull around a 6500lb Kubota backhoe loaded on a 18' aluminum flatbed trailer of unknown weight. I've towed 1 1/2 cords of hardwood fire wood in a hydraulic dump trailer(trailer is 2500 empty); I've also hauled about 5500lbs of 2" drainage rock in the same trailer. I once hauled a lifted '85 Toyota PU on the 18' flatbed, all while having 500+ pounds additional in the bed of the truck. I've also pulled: (both out at the same time!) A 90's Toyota ext cab PU linked to a 90's 3/4 ton V8 dodge Ram that had slid off the road into 2ft of snow(the 90's yota got stuck trying to help the dodge guy).

And a bunch more shit probably.

Hmm. 6-8 100 LB Chlorine Pails plus all the maintenance stuff... and one time I had all that and all the bumpers reinforcements from a Jeep Liberty on the back. Not sure how that all fit... but I do remember that my Taco didnt even seem to notice having about 1000LB+ on the back.

Fuck... I didnt know I was putting that much back there... Anyone know the limit in weight for the back? Long Bed?
