The Hilux is a different animal than the Tacoma.

I've heard rumors that the next Tacoma is going to look like the current 4runner. Eww...

Probably not, that is the Australian/New Zealand Hilux and they have been that way for a while. I am an Aussie and my parents have had these trucks on their farm since the 80's and the design has always had that look. They are a bit smaller than the US Tacoma and I don't think the US market would go for them. At least I hope not, our Tacoma look soooooo much better IMHO:D

I agree. Also i would just picture the new 4runner with the front end a bit different and truck like look. That's 2011 for ya

Yeah, it's just a different model Toyota. Pretty much everywhere has them except the U.S...Dubai, Spain, and Jordan were all loaded with them when I was there. Also, looks good rollin' through the hood in the 'Stan.

Hmm, I guess I might be waiting for the update to finally buy mine if its going to look like the bastard child of a current Taco and a new 4runner.

I will stick with my 09. I think the Hilux is one ugly vehicle. IMO I love the looks of the 2nd gen. There could be some improvements for sure like offer a moonroof and power rear window. Maybe a v8 option and even maybe a racing bred type Baja truck option like Fords new Raptor.

We drive the hell out of these over seas. These are what got me into toyota. In my opinion I wish they would bring them over here and give me the option to drive it here. Id be flying over head and see these hauling ass across the desert making it look effortless.
