Toytec Coil Overs ?

Looking at the toytec coil overs:

I have the rear spring tsb on my 2009 4x4 AC Cab.

Can you adjust these coil overs without having to take them apart?
Can you adjust them while they are ON the truck?

What should I set them at to get close to the factory rake with the rear spring tsb...and not have to worry about new UCA and alignment specs?

Yes, you can adjust them on the vehicle. You just need to jack up the truck, get the tire off, and go at it.
You are probably looking for about 1 inch of lift on those coil overs. But that is a guess. But that's the beauty of it, you can just keep adjusting it until you get them where you want. Each TSB comes out a little different.

We have instructions for the kit and they have pictures in there.

 

does all the lift come from the 5100's or the springs or both?

 

Both.
The spring is longer, and so is the 5100's.
Then we compress the coil by the adjustable collar, which is how you get the lift.

 

I have them and I'm very happy with them!

 

Ive had them for almost a year no problems at all good investment.

 

So how would the toytect coil over sbe any different than say the 5100's with eibach springs (5100 set at 0)?

 

Adjustability- that would be the difference.
Plus the Eibach coils are 620# spring rate, were as the coilover's use a 600# coil.

 

I'd really like to have a set of these!

It's better to adjust them off the truck. You can adjust them while they are on the truck but it takes some oompf. I had lost my original wrenches so I bought a beefy pair and ground them down with a grinder so the pin would fit. It required an extension on the handle of the wrench to get the coilover to turn.

I've heard the wrenches that originally cam with the kit can bend when trying to adjust them on the truck (I bought mine when they first came out so perhaps the new ones are stronger).
