My 2010 trd off-road switches have never lit either. Has anyone determined the part number differences for 2005-2011 oem fog light switches that illuminate versus the non-illuminating?

Thanks in advance for your help!

They are the same throughout all years. They are BACK LIT only to allow you to find them in the dark. There is no illuminated indicator to show you the switch is on. If your switch isn't back lit, the bulb inside of it has burnt out. Quite common. I have went through three, and have another currently burnt out as we speak.

It doesn't really matter to me if a have an indicator light for being on and off. I'm just used to telling by feel, but after reading this I don't think my fog switch has every been back lit and i bought my truck new. If the buld is out what kind is it. and how do i change it?

Doesn't the FJ Cruiser have a bunch of OEM switrches that fit the Tacoma blanks?

Ill have to look through the posts again, I know there was a bunch FJC OEM switches not used in the Tacomas, but nice for custom projects. Was going to look into the heated mirror switch if I ever get around to that project.

I did the fog light any time mod and after I noticed that the switch didnt illuminate? does changing the wiring have anything to do with that? what is the bulb that I can replace it with?
