Also does anyone think that having an oil catch can would help keep the TB clean?

You can get it at NAPA...however, despite everyone having a love affair with this stuff....and maybe you like Slick 50 too....have a look at the WHIMS sheet....1/3 naptha gas, 1/3 isopropyl, 1/3 kerosene. Good for O2 sensors and other downline parts? Well, who knows. To each their own I guess.

exactly, its super easy, there are 4 bolts that hold your throttle body onto the manifold. you take those out, disconnect the two hoses connected to the back of the throttle body and you have it out. Then spray with cleaner and scrub with tooth brush. Repeat spraying again to clean any crap, then put it back together. its very easy.

    Okay folks....

See the silver thing with the gold plate inside:p? Thats the throttle body. You dont need to remove it from truck. Just pull off the 4 bolts holding it to the manifold...or in my case the supercharger.

It will hang by itself there, suspended by the coolant lines.;) No need to disconnect the coolant lines.

Gently push the gold blade open and wipe the black/brown muck off with a damp rag.

    Put it back together.

well it depends, mine was so dirty in order to fully clean it i needed to take it off, also cleaned the inside of the opening to the manifold as it was filthy black too. I had to scrub quite a bit with a toothbrush to get all the crud off of mine.

i read what you posted but still dont get it...could you please put an arrow to the 4 bolts that i have to remove and in what order to remove them. also could you put an arrow to EXACTLY where i need to spray...speaking of which, how much do i spray in there? is it bad to spray too much?

i totally have to do this, but still not sure what im looking at....

    :D:D:rolleyes:
