    Dude, my quandary is exactly the same as yours. I have an 07 taco and held on to my big truck (2000 3/4 chebby crew). I have wound-up using the big truck for heavy hauling (3 acres, a tractor, a new addition, etc.) and for long highway trips. Even with work truck trim, the big truck is less tiring on long hauls. The taco is more fun for light hauling and running errands around town. They both get the same highway mileage.

    After reading this thread carefully, the bottom line is there is no bottom line. No clearly right answer. I would question this premise though:
