Just got new wheels and tires 285x65xR18 on my 2008 V6 6 speed manual tranny notice major Horse power loss. What can I do to gain some of that back with out getting a super charger. Weather it be a programer or chip or what ever. Need some ideas. It would also be nice if you could clue me in on a brand or model. Thanks

Like a lot of people said in your other thread your going to need to regear it. Maybe try a throttle body spacer, might not help much but you can try. Also maybe some headers.

How much power do you feel that you lost. I have a 6 speed with the 4.0, 6 inch fabtech and 33's and i still feel like i have more than enough power. As a matter of fact my buddy in his 09' quad cab with an auto could barely keep up with me on the freeway. Give it a chance and let the computer adjust to the tires, not that its going to make all the difference in the world but may help. I would try simple airflow like a good air filter and allow the additional airflow to breathe properly, new exhaust and definately some long tube doug thorleys.

Regear is going to be the next best thing to adding real horsepower. You can use an APR X-1 or a Maf Calibrator to try and wake a few extra horses up...but a blower is really the only option for making a good amount more power imho

Complete garbage. He'd gain more hp by mailing me the money instead since his wallet would be lighter. You know, the whole power vs. weight ratio.
