tinted windows?????

i went with 20% rear 35% front is what i got

X2.....Just had mine done for $130 all the way around. Every vehicle I own has dark tint all the way around and I have never been hassled by the man!!

 

I live in California, Bay Area to be exact.

Rear windows = 5% 3M
Front windows = 50% 3M
Price: $200

Never had any Cop say shit to me. Been pulled over once for not having plates (shortly after I brought the truck) and didn't mention anything about the front tints because I rolled down all windows as a courtesy to the Officer.

Before the Taco., I drove a Ford Fusion with 20% tint all around. Also never had any Cop say shit...

Maybe it's because I got a few Marine stickers and the American flag on my rear window.

I've seen a few rice rockets around here with 5% tint all around. I wonder how long before they get that ticket...

 

Cops usually don't hassle nice vehicles. Only shady/skanky vehicles. My buddy is always getting hassled by the cops (3 color shitty ricer with 50% tint on side windows) and I never get looked at ( blue chevy trail blazer stock, with 25% side windows to match rear) As long as your truck isn't slammed to the ground, rolling on chrome 20s or bro'ed out, and you drive with respect to others 30-40% will be fine.

 

I think 25 bucks a window is pretty standard

 

Depends on your area. My car was a standard dodge intrepid. A friend of mine's daughter drove a Jetta. She got her ticket 1 week after putting tint on her car.

 

As others have said, Cali is 0% legal on the front. I used to run 5% on my old rides and got hasseled all the time. Now I run 30%? I think. I just matched the factory rear tint. Here is a pic. Bad angle but it's all I have.

 

That is a bad day! talk about wrong place, wrong time! course now that the public pensions are 500 billion in the red, I'm sure there will be more of these type of "revenue enhancements"

Just to note. When you are asking the dealer to tint something darker than 70% on the front windows, they will make you sign a waiver stating if shit goes down, they are not held responsible.

 

There is a place near where I live that will tint all around any car for $100!
Sounds like a steal to me!

 

Sounds like I want to see a portfolio first to me.
