Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
depends on the model...u get different options depending on if its a base model, an access cab, a double cab, and the offroad and sport packages make a difference as well

I just gave up a '99 Limited TRD OR, Xtra cab, V6 auto, with only 59,000 miles. As clean as you could wish to find.

I'm not looking back from this '08. More HP, better mileage, smoother transmission, better ride and handling, access to the X-cab, cleaner oil changes, ect.. I also didn't have to Rino the bed on this one to keep rust at bay. The list goes on. ;)

All I'm saying is for my needs, my 1st gen leaves me wanting for nothing. Sure, one day I will need a new truck and it'll be a 2nd gen, but there's nothing that the 2nd gen Tacoma has that will make me make the switch anytime soon.

I hear you. I talked to the guy that bought my '89. The truck is still in mint shape for 20 years old and I don't think he has been off road except driving in a horse pasture, no rust. If I can talk him down some more I may have it back as a trail beater. I've liked every Toyota I've owned. I went from sports cars to Tacoma sized trucks in '84 and have never looked back.

That's the way it looked the day I sold it in '99 being ten years old. The guy I sold it to now lives 4 doors down from me and I see it every day. I really have some fond memorys of that truck.

This might be handy. It was posted over on TTORA. You don't have to put your name in, just vehicle and year. It gives all options and dimensions.

Are the '05 the same as the '08? Does anyone know the inside bed height to the top of the cab?
