Nope- It's right. The canton goes on the "the flags own right" or the left as viewed from the front.

i'm not a fan but it's your truck and if you like it that's all that should matter. If you decide to re-do the engine cover use plasti-dip. It's a rubberized paint that won't chip and goes on plastic great. They sell many different colors online, black seems to be the only color i can find around me at home depot or lowes tho.

Thanks everybody for the feed back. I didn't think either one would win to many contest yall are right. If I like it that's all that matters ;) It seemed like a few of you wanted to know how to do both. I'll post some how to pics soon

Hahaha damnit your right. I can't look at it now without thinking it looks like a birthday cake. Oh well. Happy Bday to ME!

Lol, nah I don't think I'm Cpt. America. Just always loved the look of our flag and even more so after 2 deployments. I had originally tried to put the eagle that's on the skid plate on the engine cover but that looked even worse so i re-did it to this lol. Oh well I like it ;)

Now all you gotta do is take your hood off and drive down the street yelling

    AMERICA! FUCK YEAH!

I say no on the Eagle, tho.

Reduced value??? Sorry guy but that doesn't reduce the value of the truck. If you are trading it in, a dealership wouldn't care if you even had a skid plate or engine cover - let alone reduce the value of the truck because it's painted.

I think it's unique and if you dig it, then roll with it. Should change your thread to "I painted my engine cover and skid plate - like it or hate it...I don't care what you think"

Cool, very artistic. I like the eagle and it would be very easy to paint over i fyou wanted to change it later.
