Anybody lamin-x their tail lights? I want to smoke my tail lights, and thinking about going with lamin-x's gunsmoke film.

I know a lot of guys are painting their tails, and though it is cheaper to do this I dont want to take the chance on messing up my nice LED tail lights and the paint fades over time.

i think people have had problems getting it to stick because of the contour of the light

I tired to do them in all red to get rid of the altezza-like '09 tails. It was a nightmare because of the curvature of the light. Ended up throwing them away.

It's kind of a pain, but it can be done cleanly. it requires a lot of heat and a lot of stretching. You'll get to the edge and be almost done and a couple little wrinkles will pop up. You'll be able to mush them down into place and it'll look fine, but in a couple days they'll pop up again. If this happens to you, don't just mush them down and wait a couple days. Pull the material half way off again and reapply it with more heat and more stretching so those little wrinkles don't show themselves at all.

I bought a bulk roll of the 'gunsmoke' and I have quite a bit leftover. pm me if you're interested in saving a few bucks!
