I just bought it and it came with a red camper shell. I'm thinking of painting it white, any other color suggestions? I'm not going to mod too much but I was thinking to tint windows, upgrade to black rims, 3" lift and some bigger tires once these wear down. It's only a 5 lugger so my options are somewhat limited.

First month of ownership... This month I'm removing front air dam, and also Rhino lining the bed.
Oh I disagree... I love my shell too much... like the looks better with it on then off.

BTW- White is the way to go. It'll match your truck. Painting it another color would be little to no improvement over what you have now, and what you have now is disturbing to look at, YIKES! Good you're getting that fixed on Monday.

If you are not married to it, you could loosen the clamps, then reverse real fast and hit the brakes hard.

    Or sell it.

Man, if a cap doesn't fit the trucks lines, it hurts the trucks lines...IMO.

gotta paint it...once it's white, no worries.....although, it'll never be beautiful

That particular shell doesn't seem to fit the lines of the truck.

If you don't want/need the thing, sell it to somebody who has a red truck. Unless you REALLY want a camper, it's not going to be worth what it costs to paint.

EDIT: Didn't read the whole thread. Sounds like you want it enough to paint it white... so that sounds like a good plan.

i think the angle of the picture is hurting the look a bit. I bet when it's white, and photo'd from ground level, it will look good. it looks like it's maybe an ARE MX series, which is what I have. I love the shell, and couldn't get by without one. If it fits what you use your truck for, I think you'll be happy once you have it white (no other colors by the way in my opinion). good luck.

It will look better white. Just did a quick photoshop. Painted the wheels and emblem black.

Awesome! That's so freaking hilarious I'm crapping my pants right now.. I too have changed my mind and concur that this IS the paint job to get. A real head turner - haha
