My first approach was to just cut out the Toyota stock emblem area and see if the Grillcraft would fit, thinking keeping the existing guts of the stock grill for strength. It would fit, except there is no way to reach the mounting holes for the Grillcraft. I guess you could bore some holes in the stock grill to fit a screw driver. It's a tight fit. It didn't look to bad when covering the stock grill with the Grillcraft, but maybe once outside in the sunlight, it might look ghetto. So I bit the bullet and removed all the stock guts. It just took time and careful sawing/filing.

I plan to go back and paint behind the grill with some matte black heat paint, cuz the radiator and all the components near it are silver (on my truck). But not anytime soon. It looks fine the way it is for now.

you can order that one from the dealer, it is 30 to 40 bucks.
you can get one on ebay as well, that came from a older fj.
the older ones are smaller than this one. i used one that came of
of a 1972 fj for mine, it is all metal and i color matched it.
