I've found 2 rattles/squeaks that were easy fixes.

1st was a buzzing sound from pass side dash. There is a large bundle of wire that goes from the dash through the firewall. It's wrapped in a plastic that crinkles when it moves. I tore that off and wrapped the bundle with a softer plastic material. No buzzing since.

2nd was a rattle in the front consol under the radio near the shifter. It only rattled when it was cold and sounded like it was in the dash. I pulled the cupholder up and found a wire loom with tape hanging off. Ripped the tape off and secured the wire.

3rd is a rattle I need halp with. It's right in my ear and making me crazy. Sounds like it's the seatbeat adjuster on my drivers side. I tore the door down but couldn't isolate the sound so I gave up. If anyone has any pointers I'd love to hear them.

^its the whole seatbelt system. look at the metal pices that slides up and down, use a hose clamp or duct tape to fix it in one spot.

I think im gonna try some stuff called Wonder lube. its more of a lube where wd40 is a water displacement, corrosion prevention spray.
neither one would hurt but I'll try the wonder lube first and see how long it lasts

I have a squeak coming from the passenger's side seat, it happens only when someone is seated and the seat is in a certain postion. My Dodge truck I had prior to this did it also.

I think is has to do with the seat rail or something, just haven't really checked since it really depends on the position of the seat and I do not always have someone in the truck with me.

Not really a fix I am posting but maybe someone who has run into this can post one since I am lazy :)

I havent had any problems with the front seats just the back. You guys say youve also alrdy check it? Even if the bolts are alrdy tight i use 3m sided tape to put a places that have metal to metal together. I just put it between and then tigthen it up again just a precaution to make sure that squeak doesnt come alive again.

You could definitely get rid of that block and throw an aal up in there. the aal from toytec comes with these little friction pads that get the squeak to away. Everyone either gives them a good cleaning and thenis good to go for a couplemonths. Mines been good for half a year now and its been in plenty of dirt and rocks.

i finally found it. it was a tag on a wiring harness on the passenger side under the plastic up by where you right foot would rest. the tag has the date the harness was made and where. it is made out of a material that is crinkly (i do not know how else to explain it) anyway it was loose and touching some plastic.

None yet- Future: HIDs, Tinted tails, LED interior lights,
Bad constant squeak underneath the center console and towards the rear of the truck- Most likely your carrier bearing is hitting the dumps.

Mine has. and it sounds like CRAP! I have 2 squeaks going on at the same time now!

im to the point where i really dont give a fuck anymore. if i ever (key word ever because iv invested so much money, my time and time of great people here on tw) if i get asked whats with the squeaking on the persons test drive...my response will be this baby has character. we have been through some shit bad times good times and the squeaking just reminds me off all those time that lead to the squeaks so its sentimental to me so never bothered fixing it! and that the truth :)

Ok, got #1 taken care of with some WD40. For #4, I used brake dust remover (walmart-prestone brand) until I can afford to bring my brakes in to get swapped out. The noises have stopped!

Thanks for starting this thread, +1 rep to you!
