Just ordered my 2011 Taco last night :D. I am in Iraq, and will be picking it up mid July when I get back. This site has been awesome, and really helped me figure out exactly which model with which options I want. Thanks to everyone for all the help.

Thank you for your service and congrats on your new purchase!

Do you know the specifications on the motor? I'm assuming V6, if so do you know if yours will have dual VVT-I? (~270hp & ~278 lb-ft of torque)?

I ordered the DBL cab, long bed w/ the TRD Sport, 4X4, with the V6...I need the long bed for hauling and what not...I am going to put a CAI and Catback on it myself...I also bought a Bestop Supertop to cover my bikes when I travel...my plan is to eventually make it a bit more off road worthy (like Dark Knight's), with a lift and upgraded shocks...but that is a bit down the road. Needless to say, I am psyched.

    Thanks.

I'm not sure to be honest...the engine is a carry over from the 2010 models. Sorry.

Congrats on the new truck Mike. You are sure to enjoy it. Didn't know they had 2011 models out yet. Wonder what changes to the truck will occur. Anyway, we look forward to hearing more about all the mods. Take care of yourself.

Not sure if it's just hearsay, but 3 dealers I visited mentioned the 2011 are being built in the new factory. The California Tacoma plant shared with chevy is being closed because chevy doesn't have the demand to support that factory.
One of the reasons tacomas do not have heavy incentives is toyota is concerned of depleting inventories prior to the new factory being ready to support the 11 model.
I have no idea if that is viable info and maybe someone else here can confirm fact or fiction.

Is the 2011 regular cab 4x4 available with auto?
I emailed Toyota but no answer?

You are going to love the new ride.
