    06 PreRunner DC SR5 w/LSD
    Is the rear axle shaft and bearings on a PreRunner the same as on a 4x4 ? Also is it the same on an open diff and a LSD diff ? ( I'm at a junkyard, I'll explain later)

    the open diff with no locker is an 8.4 ...a lsd rear end is a 8....

    OP u need to find out what models have the 8.4 and what have the 8

    Well I'm gonna be taking the rear axle shaft w/ bearing from a TRD Sport 4x4, I have a Prerunner w/ LSD. Will it work ? Does the fact that one is 4x4 and the other is 2wd matter ?

    The locker is 8", Open and LSD are 8.4

    By the tape, Yes. However, they are refered to 8.4" (Non TRD, TRD SPort), or 8" (TRD Off Road). Dont make me ban you. :cool::p
