Sorry to resurrect an ancient thread, but at least you know I searched first.

Is anyone here having issues with their tint pulling at the corner of the window with the Weathertech shades installed?
I had the windows tinted a few weeks ago. The tint guy pulled the Weathertechs and told me to put them back on in a week or so. I waited almost two weeks before opening the windows and reinstalling the visors. This morning I noticed that the tint is damaged at the rear upper corners of both windows... just trying to figure out wether it's the visors, or just a piss poor tint job. I had an '06 with tint and Weathertechs, and never had an issue...

    Anyway,
Let me know if anyone else has had similar issues, or if I should tell the tint guy to make it work.

    Thanks as always!

I have had the in-channel guards and tint installed for two years with no issues. Your tint guy is an idiot.

    Some stuff...
I've been running my EGR window visors with tint for about 4 years now without issue.

Sounds like it's either the installer or the tint they're using. I guess I'll bring it back to them and have them redo it... Hopefully it holds up, or I'll be trying another installer... Thanks for the replies!!

A few mods here and there and counting....
My tint guy said the something. I had to remove the in channel vent shades for the tint install. He said, give it a few days and reinstall it. No problems here. He said he didn't want the pressure from the shades against the seals to lift off the tint during the installation/curing process.

Had my front two windows tinted just this past month and I have the in-channel guards. No issues whatsoever. He did not need to remove them to tint the windows or anything. And the visors are great for cracking windows to let heat out.

Rain guards will damage your paint for sure they can effect the tont due to rubing. He shouldn't have removed them without permission though. You have to buy new adhisive and reinstalll now. More $$ for you to spend now.

I'm sure this will fall upon deaf ears as most things around here, but the OP of this is 7 years old...

They are "in channel" visors, so no adhesive required.

Sorry, I searched and this was the only thing that came up that appeared to be consistent when the issue I was having. I figured that reviving this thread was better than starting a new one and getting flamed for not using the search function. Please delete the thread if I've broken any rules.
