just put a new set of 265/75/16 tires on a stock truck seems that I need an alignment right after they were installed is that possible?

You should be fine if the alignment wasnt messed up to begin with.

Were the tires balanced properly? Does you steering wheel or passenger seat shake?

I always have the alignment checked with new tires. That way you don't end up trashing them. Most shops check for free, but if they adjust anything, it will cost ya.
