Truck got F'ed Up

Thanks man, I really hope so. I was actually just about to order beefed sliders in the coming week, guess I've got bigger things to worry about now.

 

I think he stated that the damage was on the drivers side.

welcome to the club. This was my first wreck at 17 y/o

 

one can only hope this wreck was severe enough to permanently damage those hideous rims. if i were to see them on the road, i would likely cause yet another wreck due to uncontrollable laughter. and two wrongs certainly do not make a right.

+1, total it, hope you got your receipts, but that sucker back and part out what's salvageable, take the insurance cash and whatever you get from the salvage and build up again ... just my .02

You better hope they total it. I had a wreck in my tacoma last fall. Guy hit the side of my truck, pushed me sideways into a curb. The passenger rear wheel hit damn near flush with the curb, while the persons' car was still pushing me. Tore out the axle like yours, and did a bunch of other damage. It even bent the axle. 12k in damage later, and she is back on the road. Since the guy was uninsured, and it was such a new vehicle, they wouldn't total it. I did get a diminished value claim on the truck due to Indiana law. 6k in cash to me, on a truck I only paid 19k for new.

Worst part- I got hit by a Jeep.

Glad you are ok. I know I'd be pissed if my new truck got hit like that but at the end of the day I'd be happy to walk away and see my family again.

I hope you can work with the insurance company and get your rig totaled...cause I wouldn't want to drive that thing again- It's going to have all sorts of little gremlins running around it for the rest of it's days.

 

I know, and part of me wants that to happen, but then I know all the hassle that will entail. I just don't know what to think, and I'm having to take off work to deal with it all. GOD DAMN, I'm so fucking annoyed by this shit.

 

as one poster said, they (ins. company) will pay lost wages and all, if not, refuse to settle on medical.
i had to that many yrs ago when they tried to screw me.

 

Hey, hate to be a parts vulture, but....if they total( most likely) and you get to get your parts off of it, can you nab the trailer wiring harness? I need wiring so I can tow my boat.

 

Did they actually drop it off the tow truck?
