Is it possible for spark plugs to take a dump at 28K?

    procomp 6 inch co lift ,305/55/20 xtreme a/t tires,4.88 gears ,,grill shell painted white billet inserts.Trd cat back ,
    deff change the plugs as its time and it wont hurt.have your fuel pressure and volume checked. a lean condition will not always set the cel, also check for a vacume leak under the hood.this will also cause a lean condition. lean will give you the exact symptoms you are describing.

    sometimes the manufactuer supercedes the part number because they are buying from a different source. or they redesign it so it will fit multiple models. the idea is to carry the least amount of part numbers and service the max amount of models, hence lowering the overhead of inventory

    The primary benefit of platinum and similar plugs is extended life (of the plug). There is no advantage in performance/mileage over new plain copper plugs of similar design (electrode shape).

    There are Benefits when you start looking at different designed plugs. Some plugs with the smaller electrode produce a better spark. Plus you get the added added benefit of longer life of the plugs. hope this info helped out.
