Can a manual trans experience axle wrap?

    Can a manual trans experience axle wrap?

    I've always seen threads on here about axle wrap, and auto transmissions "lurching" forward after coming to s top at a light. Never paid much attention to it beause i have a MT and never experienced it.

    Well today at the drive through at McDonnalds i noticed that when i stopped and put the truck into Neutral....about 3 seconds later i hear a "buup" noise from the rear of the truck. The truck did not "lurch" forward but a noise was noticable....

    I thought it was just a one time type deal...so i tested this out a few times and kept getting the noise...

    can axle wrap happen to a MT truck....is this what i am experiencing?

    Axle wrap can happen to either AT or MT.. Its usually caused from repeated high rpm launches.

    I have never noticed it, my truck doesnt move unless i hit the gas.

    Neither does mine...it just makes a noise. Never thought about gas. I'm at 3/4 a tank now.
