Just switched to AFE Pro Dry S a couple of weeks after reading the whole thread. I like it so far

    - Seems to be more response
    - Save a bit of gas mileage 1-2 MPG (unless the Scan-gauge is lying to me).

Will have to check the oil by the end of the year to see if it is any bad. FYI I have a double-cab 09 TRD.

I had a aFe pro dry s but I switched backed to OEM. I really don't have the time to let it air dry (especially since me and my wife share the truck) or set there with a blow dryer.

Keep, or buy, the stock paper filter and put that in while the drying is happening. If you really want to use the AFE anyway. I did this when I had a Tru-Flow (oiled foam) on my last truck. Cleaned it out and let it dry for at least a day before oiling it back up.

Was just gonna say the same thing. Or blow most of the dust off with an air compressor frequently like I do, and keep going. :D

I don't think I've yet to read one objective (dynometer, etc) test that demonstrates this.

I have however, seen dynometer tests demonstrating a hp increase between the amsoil and k&n filter.

i'm very wary of the following the herd mentatilty unless there's objective proof... no offense, just would like to see some data. maybe there is objective data out there, there's much more information out there that i haven't seen than i have! :)

I am looking to get a AFE Pro Dry, as it seems that is the most popular choice, but I do not see one available for the 2010. The 2009 should fit, right?
