x2, i use my truck as a dd and my 5100's and 33 are perfect, you wont want to go with a 6" they cost a lot and give you a shitty ride, especially if your not off roading whats the point? thats a lot of cash to drop on looks. Even with the 5100's at 2.5 and 33's your are going to be only getting about 15 mpg and your looking at dropping an extra 2000$ for parts and tires.

Well it comes assembled ready to bolt on so how ever long it takes you to unbolt your front shocks and bolt the new ones in then the rear is a little bit trickier but shouldn't take much longer

Dude the best thing you could do for a good ride? Keep it stock. Maybe get billy 5100s to level out the front and get 265/75/r16s.

im really not trying to keep stock ride exactly , i am going to get a lift , im just placing my options into what lift to get to retain as much of my ride quality as possible

Not to mention if you get a 6" your prolly gonna want 35s and you def need to regear which is very $$$$

Best set up I've been able to run down, but haven't been able to pull the trigger on... It's hard to let go of 5k on wheels, tires, and lift.

    Camburg or Total Choas UCA's
Fox or King adjustable CO's (up to 3.5")
    OME rear AAL

You want ride? This is the way to roll IMO.

What'd you decide to go with?

I wanna go 285/70/17 and am having trouble picking out a lift. Every place I talk to says they won't install a toytec lift and I'm trying to keep my stock sport 17 wheels (am going to need spacers) It's also my daily driver. Just trying to figure out what lift I should go with.

Nothing to compare it to other that the stock suspension but I'm happy with the ride of my lift on the street (Fox 2.5 extended travel/lightspeed UCAs up front and Dakar/fox 2.0 RR in the back). I also removed the swaybar so it has more down travel (and body roll in the corners). Other than a couple miles of fire road I haven't had a chance to get it out and test it off road yet.

From what I've read here, regardless of lift you are going to have to do some cutting to fit 33s unless you go with a 255/85/16. The issue with the 285 is the width more than the height.

*edit* shit, I just realized how old this thread is
