Have you tried contacting the tent manufacturer for replacement hardware? We are also looking into making a roof rack as well. Thanks for posting pics - your truck looks good!

Are you talking height adjustable? There is only about 1 inch of adjustment possible due to the first bend, which gives it a better look IMO, but we can look into making a version with some more adjustment. Also, we are going to offer a cheaper DIY version for those who want to weld it together at whatever height they desire. Thanks for the feedback!

Yes. I wish the racks were a tad higher because I have an awning that I like to use. The more I look into your racks the more I like them. The attachments would come in handy as well. Are these things made to order or are they ready to ship? Thanks

I ordered one from all pro last week they said 2-3 weeks lead time.

I liked the height they say is 16.5" high from the bed rail. I wish it was a tad short in all honesty

Sarah - you guys do custom heights since you build to order?

I made this one. It's been really versatile.

I had one made too. It really depends on what you want in terms of a rack, full cage, adjustable, etc

We actually have some racks about ready to ship. The only way we can make custom heights with our current design is if the tubes are fully welded to the rails, which would make the shipping costs outrageous I think. We do have a slightly used fully welded version for a 05+ long bed that is shorter 13.5" vs. 15.5". I just measured the one on my truck at 15.5" from the top of the rail to the top of the upper tube.

We make them to order, but have the hoops pre-bent and the rails in stock from our laser cutter to minimize lead times. We can perhaps add height adjustment by making the tube insert longer that is welded to the rails, we just can't make it any lower due to the first bend on the hoop.

I've been eyeing the AllPro bed rack for several months. The only reason I haven't taken the plunge yet is because I do not like how the side rails completely cover the factory rails. I'm no engineer but it seems like you could cut away the sides of the rails between the bolts to allow access to the factory rails underneath without sacrificing structural integrity. Maybe I'm wrong. But as much as I love the look and utility, I still don't think I'll get it if it means I lose access to the factory bed rails...

Also can someone measure the distance from the bed to the bottom of the top bars on an AllPro rack?

I'm glad you mentioned that. The full rail plates are needed to disperse the weight. Those racks with smaller mounting points collaspe the plastic on the bed rails. Our mounting plates actually have holes every 2 inches or so, so there is multiple attachment points along the factory rail system, with inserts that slide into it to bolt to.

I think he's talking about the cleat rails. I built mine down the full bed rail, but built small tabs to bolt onto the cleat rail so as to retain usage of the cleats.

Arguably, in retrospect, I should have gone over rather than under - but the bed rails themselves have are fine and I can still use the cleats.

Yes! That is exactly what I meant. When using the allpro rack, one looses the use of the cleat rails. I just wish that wasnt the case. An alternative would be to have several tie-down loops welded onto the top of the rack's side rails every 8 inches or so...

I found this picture in AllBLKTaco's pic gallary. It's a custom rack made by Avid Offroad... I absolutely LOVE IT:

I would suggest anyone fitting a bed rack on their 05+ take the plastic bed rails off and fill the voids with silicone or similar. Even with AP's design spreading the load those POS plastic bed rail guards will rub the paint off of the bedsides and create some nasty rust. The bed rails/caps whatever you want to call them are a very poor design IMO.

I have a tracrac bed rack and did this to mine. Simple cheap solution to disperse the weight. I recommend DOW 795 structural silicone, but just about anything that doesn't compress will help.

FWIW my tool box started crushing my bed rails before I put on a bed rack.

I had mine custom made but not for an RTT but an RTT can be mounted to it, I prefer to use it for all my expo equipments/spare tire.
