wanting to lift, but what wheels / lift will work for my needs?

Ok...so I havent had my tacoma long at all, but I have always known that when I got one, I wanted to lift it. I am wanting to do a 33" tire and a set of Moto metal 955's. I have been looking at lifts, and know that I at least want to do a 3" but not sure on the tire / wheel combo size and offset that will work well with this setup. I like the 6" lift, but not wanting to spend that much right now, nor tear up the car too much. Can anyone point me in the direction I might need to go in order for this to work properly with the least amount of cons, but at the best price?

From everything I've read, you're not going to be able to run a 3 inch with 33's unless you're ready to cut. Personally, when I was considering lifting (have decided now not to), the 5100's with an ALL in the back and 265/70/17 or 265/75/16 tires was the best all-around choice for looks and minimal cutting. Just my $0.02.

 

265/70/17 or 265/75/16's fit on a stock truck without cutting.

Your driving needs dictate the product levels for a lift.

 

Exactly. I drive 30k a year for work, so MTs and a 3 inch aren't for me. I'm staying stock with some 265/70s.

The OP might let us know more what his needs are.
