does the TRD exhaust use a different muffler than the SR5?

Buddy of mine just replaced his TRD with an aftermarket exhaust and has offered to give me the TRD exhaust.

I dont care much for the chrome tip on the TRD, but if the muffler is a tad louder I will install it. Is this the case - or are the mufflers the same?

Dude, the TRD gives you 10 more HP because the bedside stickers drag them down. So it makes up for them.
