i think he's trying to avoid traffic camera tickets...look at the third one in from the left, it's different. as in 00O000. theorey being from a distance picture from a speed camera, you won't be able to tell the difference

well look under the bumper first. yes after you take off the plastic cover off and there is 3 holes, i think the middle is the biggest. the ball goes through this and the nut threads on the bottom. pretty simple.

But he would, possibly, be the only tag in his area that is set up like that, which you could just run a quick search for a tag/vehicle match.

why not? their disigned for it?

i mean it may not look like "wow that is cool i wonder how he did that" or "why did this tool put that ball there it looks so out of place"

it will look normal to me, maybe im the only one who thinks that :s

agreed, it's normal, and functional up to whatever they're rated at (3500lbs i think), he's just doing it for the wrong reason.

Exactly. Which is when the term "tool" can be applied.

and to the OP, just an fyi, i'm not trying to rip on ya for wanting to do this, it's your truck, not mine. as for your question, once you pop off the plastic circle on the bumper you'll see the threads. I believe hitch balls have 1'' thread diamiters (someone correct me if i'm wrong). all you have to do is choose the ball size you want. for what you are trying to acomplish, 2'' sound like what you want. like others have said, walmart has them for cheap. also, any autoparts store should have them for about $10.

I hate to say it however You do have a knock out on the Bumper for a ball. I can't remember ever seeing a Black Ball before so just paint it since your not going to really use it. It is a strange request!

He really needs 2 pages of thread to figure out how to mount a hitch ball on his bumper??

EDIT: I've seen black, rubber hitch ball covers at all kinds of auto parts stores. You should be able to find one relatively easily.

It was mostly users trying to warn him and calling him a tool.
