Low Profile Bug Shield

Im torn between a regular bug shield or a low profile one.

Same price. I was just wondering what the difference was, i cant find any good pics of the low profile.

Im getting the Ventshade In-Channel visors tomorrow, and i thought since those look pretty streamline, the low profile shield would match, but im not sure...

What do you guys think...

get whichever one looks best in your opinion. i use to want one but from what i've heard they dont really work that well for actually deflecting bugs. they do look good though. you can expect it to make your truck look better but not keep the bugs off your windshield.

 

I just purchased the Auto VentShade Bug Deflector and VentVisor. You can look in my gallery and see what they look like. The bug deflector is chrome but it is low profile so you can get an idea from that. And like nd said, it doesn't do squat for deflecting bugs. Love bug season has just started and my windshield is covered in bug goo!

 

Your the reason i got the in channel visors....I saw your post about them a few days ago...i didnt know that chrome shield was low profile...You really cant tell a difference in low profile and regular...

 

Well, it didn't say low profile when I ordered it but it sits really low in my hood so I just thought it was. I hope I wasn't misleading.

Havent got the visors on yet...I should have them tomorrow...They had to order them...

I didnt know which to get, the in channel or the stick on...and i really like the way they looked on your truck, so i went with those...i had heard some stories of the window not rolling all the way up because of them....any trouble with yours???

 

No, not at all. I thought that might happen too. After you pull the tape just let it sit with the windows rolled up for 24 hours. I tugged on it slightly after that and it was very snug.
