Put on my magnaflow cat back. Quite a bit louder than I was expecting, especially around 2500-3000 RPM. Hopefully I'll get used to it.

I hope it works out for ya. I ended up having mine uninstalled as I couldnt deal with the noise in the cabin. I miss having aftermarket exhaust, but man the drone and interior noise was crazy. When I took it off, I couldnt believe how quiet it was in the cab.

Thanks. Anyone try throwing a resonator on the magnaflow catback to see if it smooths out the surges in volume?

Just got a TRD Cat-back installed yesterday and I love it. The throttle feels a bit more open, but that could be my imagination. The noise isn't too loud, it's a bit more throaty and you definitely know there's something other than stock exhaust on the truck

Hey as promised here is a video of the flowmaster 10 series single chamber, as you can see in the pictures i have a corvette restrictor after the muffler to cut out the raspyness, tell me what you think of the sound. HERE

Are there are exhaust systems for a Tacoma that doesn't make it sound like a piece of sh*t Honda lowrider? Something that makes it sound like a deep sounding V8 with custom exhaust? I realize it's only a V6, but I HATE that rice burner sound...

lowriding rice burners are SICK and a lot of them sound like heaven in full warp.
Our V6 trucks get a ton of wrasp when totally opened up which sounds like junk. Either way you wont get a V8 sound from it, and TRD, Magna flow and Borla make a decent sounding low 'custum' exhaust sound. Look into spintech and flowaster as well, they're a little louder but sound nice.
