TRD is about the closest you're going to get to this...it's deep, mellow, but NOT very loud....no rasp at WOT, very smooth sounding. It's a good exhaust if you want something tasteful.

No, nothing is going to make these engines sound like V8s...because they aren't V8s.

    3'' lift and striaght pipes!
Just run striaght cats.. I tried flowmaster dumped and with duals and I like straight pipes the best. They of coarse are a little raspy, but only when you really get on it. Since it is a V6 it is still quiet when you need it to be. I know its not for everyone, but its definatley the closest you will get to a V8..

I have a 18 inch magnaflo muffler and it sounds great. Little drone in the cabin but thats only when it holds at low RPM like cruising up a hill or something.

I love it... gives a nice sound to it when it needs to and isnt to loud for the truck.

    I have Spintech as well.

I used to have a Magnaflow, but wanted something a little louder, just not as loud as a Flowmaster

I just went to a local shop. After telling them I didn't really like the Magnaflow, they recommended the Spintech. Just ask your local muffler shop. Even if they don't have it, they probably can order it.

I voted other because I love how the URD catback sounds on my Dcab.

It sounded super clean with just the TRD intake and exhaust

Just had a Magnaflow installed using the OEM pipe and a polished tip. I have to admit, when I pulled into traffic right afterwards I almost regretted it for a second. But even 2 hours later, I LOVE IT. It has already mellowed out (I know some disagree with this theory, but it's better already) some, and now sounds just about perfect for me. This is the first exhaust that I have put on anything non-V8, and I'm pleased. I too was not looking for the rice burner sound, and I don't think this exhaust has it. I'm very happy.

Updating this just to keep people who are considering mufflers informed. My new-found love with the Magnaflow has worn off quickly. It's just way too loud and droney for me, so I'm actually going back to stock. Just something to keep in mind.

I *really* like how the TRD keeps the majority of it's noise outside the cab compared to other systems I've heard. If you're still looking for something, give the TRD a shot.

That's good to know, and I will definitely keep it in mind. I thought maybe a Magnaflow w/ stock cats and resonators would be reasonable, but it won't work. If I do exhaust again, I'll definitely go TRD. Just too much noise in the cab w/ the Magnaflow for someone who drives as much as I do. But at least I can use the muffler w/ my Mustang by adding another one.

$200 is very good (best discounted price for new is now around $400, + shipping), if it's in decent condition.
