Damn, I just looked up my F150 on KBB (XLT, 5.4L SuperCab). Trade in value is 14,650 (18,720 1 month ago) and private party is 19,620 (21,850 1 month ago). There goes my plan of getting a Tacoma in the next few months.

I guess the tacoma is going to be dirt cheap really soon!!

Think again! On Edmunds.com I'm looking up what my 05 is worth. & looky what we have here: Damn! "Consumer most wanted & Used car best bet"

2005 Toyota Tacoma Available As: Truck

With my options : Retail is $17,000 it even deducted $1767 for high mileage. I paid $23,000 in 2005, so it is holding its value quite well.

Sorry Not for sale!

supply and demand: book value is only a guide. I'm sure parts of the country are different, but here it's very rare that you can even find one for sale... When I purchased mine new, there was only 3 in the OKC Metro area equiped the way I wanted and they priced it accordingly. Look at the Tacoma and Toyota small truck sales history.. There will always be a demand for trucks and the Tacoma has alot going for it - fuel efficiency being one.

Edmunds was a big part of why I bought my 05 Taco. Used Toyotas are a VERY good deal.
