Overhead Display Compass / Thermometer and Overhead Remote Compartment

Hello everyone

New here and trying to find out if possible to replace the overhead garage remote space that the Tacoma came with for the overhead compass and thermostat ? and also if any one knows where and if I can find it aftermarket.
Dealer claims it might be possible. but they want $1000 just for the part.

My new Toy is a 2006 Prerunner, doublecab, V6, 4.0

Yeah it can be done. There is a great HOW TO write up if you look at the DIY stickies, or search for it.

The hard part is finding them, or getting first in line when they come up for sale.

 

Try EBAY, they go for around $200. Very easy install

 

Toyota changed something around '09. plugs don't match up with earlier models. Search is your friend.
